Each month a new video will be released with quarterly discussions held on the topics. Join us in our efforts to remove barriers to employment for autistic people who are eager to work, yet most often unemployed or underemployed. Brought to you by The Kentucky Employment First Council and Innovative Supports of Autistic Workers (ISAW).
Autistic workers sometimes need supports for executive functioning skills. In episode 10, we discuss the range of skills and abilities that fall under the executive functioning umbrella and how these are affected by autism. We also talk about ways autistic executive functioning strengths can offset some challenges. In episode 11, we will discuss some simple accommodations to support the needs of autistic workers.
Quarterly Discussion
On December 17th at 12 – 1pm EST, we will host an Autism Informed Employer conversation covering topics related to communication. Employers, Employment Specialists, and others will be invited to join for further information and a robust discussion of hiring practices. We hope you will join us in our efforts to remove barriers to employment for this group of people who are eager to work, yet most often unemployed or underemployed.
