Bluegrass SHRM
The Bluegrass Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (BGSHRM) is committed to serving the professional and advancing the profession. Our chapter was formed in 1957 and is comprised of approximately 300 Human Resource professionals in the Lexington-Bluegrass area.

Kentucky SHRM
The Kentucky SHRM Council is comprised of over 40 leaders with a mission to serve the HR professional and advance the HR profession in Kentucky. Kentucky SHRM Council is involved in many important initiatives that engage people within the HR profession, help employers lead their organizations, and advance the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Our volunteers contribute their time, energy and expertise to educate, advocate and lead HR. And those contributions directly impact the bottom-line and success of Kentucky’s employers.

Kentucky Office of Voc Rehab
The Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) assists Kentuckians with disabilities to achieve suitable employment and independence. We recognize and respect the contribution of all individuals as a necessary and vital part of a productive society.

Human Development Institute
The Human Development Institute is Kentucky’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. We work on improving lifelong opportunities and services for individuals with disabilities, their families, and the community.

Advisory Council on ASD
The Advisory Council on Autism Spectrum Disorder promotes collaborative efforts and advocates to improve system of supports for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families across Kentucky.

Autistics United Kentucky (AUK)
A Lexington-based organization run by autistic people for the advancement of autistic rights and the safety and autonomy of the autistic community.

Kentuckiana Autistic Spectrum Alliance – KASA
A Louisville-based organization run by and for autistic people.

National Organizations

Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN)
The Autistic Self Advocacy Network is a 501c nonprofit advocacy organization run by and for individuals on the autism spectrum. ASAN holds that the goal of autism advocacy should be a world in which autistic people enjoy the same access, rights, and opportunities as all other people, and that autistic voices should be included in any public discourse on autism, whether in public policy, mass media, or other venues.

Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network
The mission of Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network is to provide community, support, and resources for Autistic women, girls, nonbinary people, and all others of marginalized genders.
